Spring break fun

Landon was sick with a fever most of spring break, but that didn't stop us from having fun. Its always so relaxing to not have a schedule and just enjoying life at our own pace. And that's exactly what we did at the cabin.

We went exploring down by the river a lot. 

We played, went for walks and golf cart rides, and fished. 

Sydney and Gammie came up for part of the week! This really cheered up Landon since he wasn't feeling his best. 

Landon was such a gentleman and baited our hooks with worms for us! We didn't catch any fish, so that was not an issue!

I loved being with my kids and I can't wait for summer break!

Hello March!

Around here, we are glad its March and spring is on its way. We took a day off to rest after Meme's funeral. But we really didn't rest too much. The weather was cloudy but warm so we spent the day outside. We went over to the park, played on the playground, played in our yard, and rode bikes.

Landon made some fishing poles that he wanted to try out.

Landon told Rue and I that we are terrible fishing partners!

I just love them!

This weekend is going to be so cold! If it snows in March, I will be ill!!!

We love you, Meme!

We sadly said goodbye to our sweet Meme last week. Meme is Kelly's grandmother. She was a huge part of his life growing up. She was a very kind person. But most of all she was a loving great grandmother to my kids. They adored Meme and she adored them. We will miss her so much. 

Just lately...

We have been doing lots of coloring and crafting.

We had a fun Valentine's Day!

 We made treats for friends at school. Both kids had a Valentine party at school. We had pink pancakes for breakfast and yummy steak for dinner.

The chickens are grown and you can hear some cock a doodles! Eggs will be here soon!

Landon got a camera for Christmas from Mimmie. He really likes it and has had a couple of photo sessions with Allie Ruth. I think its safe to say, he is into self portraits! Some of these photos are really cool and some totally crack me up! Good job Landon!
