Fall Break

We got out of school for a week this year for fall break! We didn't do anything super exciting, just spent lazy days at the cabin. We played, shopped a little, and ate a lot!

Luckily, we did not have any big plans... When I picked Allie Ruth up from school and we got home, she went and laid on the couch and covered up with a blanket. I took her temp and it was 102.5!

I gave her some meds and let her sleep in my bed. We went to the little clinic early Saturday morning. They treated her for strep, but I am not so sure that was it. Anyways, she seemed well enough to head on to the river to meet the boys.

The weather was nice enough for a boat ride on Sunday and Monday. Allie Ruth was still feeling a little sickly, hence the sassy.

She was feeling better and up for a leaf fight with Landon!

We tried to find a pumpkin patch, but all the farms that I contacted did not have any pumpkins this year. One farmer was so nice and said he would try harder for us next year!

We did find a store that had a cute fall display where I tried to get a few pictures. I bribed them with a playground that we passed.

We found things to do while Kelly worked on the deck...

Allie Ruth is in the "I dew et" phase.

At night, we had campfires and smores!

In between...

These are just a few photos of what has been going on lately as we have been in between the last days of summer and not quite yet fall. Or we could call them crap photos that Mom doesn't want to loose the memories.

Allie Ruth cheesin' in Mimmie's backyard after a fun day of shopping. We went to the Cordova Craft fair and was slightly disappointed but got some cool bird feeders that were handmade! I have said before that Allie Ruth is a great shopping girl. Hopefully she will always enjoy shopping with Mimmie and I!

Talking on the phone to Uncle Bub! I said that I would never be one of those moms that let their kids talk on the phone, never say never. Plus, most of the people I talk to on the phone want to talk to her anyway! Her mouth is dirty from chocolate donuts. The girl is addicted! If there is Daylight Donuts in the house, you can forget her eating anything else!

Fall fishin on a chilly Saturday. Kelly and Landon had previously caught a lot of fish and then Allie Ruth and I joined them at the River for a fish fry and football. So yum!

After school, we love to walk up to the "Scary Cove". Landon has gotten really good at riding his scooter.

Allie Ruth is content riding in the stroller as long as she has snack and something to drink!

Landon is getting way too big! And don't think he is leaving the yard without that helmet on! "I want to be safe, Mom!"

Here we go again! But this time we are walking up to the big park. It is rare that we have enough time to walk up there.

Allie Ruth's dress has functioned as a dress and now a shirt with leggings!

Landon acted really hyper and goofy at the big park. There is no telling what the other parents there thought! Maybe its the hair cut?!

Craft time!

Someone has gotten a mind of their own and didn't want to show me her eyes!

She has perfected the sad face!

Stay five forever!!!!

And lastly, Princess and  Pirate Day at school!
I can smell FALL BREAK in the air!!

Tiger Walk 2011!

Tiger Walk is a BIG deal at Tara Oaks. The kids love it and are always so excited about the day. This was my 10th tiger walk, but Landon's first! On Thursday, he kept saying "I can't wait for tomorrow!" The purpose of tiger walk is to raise money for the school. The kids are sponsored and donations are made by how many laps they run or walk. The weather was perfect for the day and everyone had fun!

Wearing Class t-shirt and working on tying our shoes!

Landon's face in these pictures crack me up!

Well deserved treat!

I loved hanging out with my little guy! So glad he goes to school with me and I don't miss out on anything!

I had a great time with these sweet girls!

Air Show 2011

Over the weekend, the whole family went to the air show. It was quite an experience! That Allie Ruth and I will leave up to the boys next time.

The air show had all kinds of different planes that you could walk up to or go in.

Big Kelly, little Kelly!

Ear protection was a must. The planes were so loud. Allie Ruth's reaction when a plane would fly by and catch her off guard was priceless. We will be shopping during the next air show.

Give her something sweet to eat and she is HAPPY! Too bad Dad wasn't, this was supposed to be his!

And of course, the air show planes. Yes, that is someone of the top of the plane.

Faster than the speed of sound!

Fair Day 2011!

Last year we took the kids to the fair and they loved it, well mostly Landon. So this year, Landon was extra excited to go. We went on a Wednesday night, just like last year, but told the kids that we were going furniture shopping. When we pulled up to the agricenter and Landon saw the ferris wheel, he was so excited! At first I couldn't even get the kids to look at the camera because they were too busy looking at all the excitement around them.

Landon was my riding partner while Dad and Allie Ruth watched. Landon has gotten so much braver compared to last year! He was eager to try lots of rides without being scared!

Dad wanted to watch a lion and tiger show that the kids could not take their eyes off of!

Allie Ruth enjoyed some rides that were more her speed!

Landon loved jumping and even did a double back flip! Go Landon!

Both kids played games and won prizes!
We enjoyed walking around and eating dinner!

Good bye fair, see you next year!
