Eight years old! I can't believe it!
This year your birthday was on a Saturday and the start of winter break!
We had a birthday breakfast and then you opened your present from us. We got you a electric train that you asked for. You and Dad loved setting it up and Allie Ruth tried to help!
Later in the day a new friend from school came over to help celebrate and spend the night. We had family come over for snacks and cake!
We opened presents and ...
sang Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday Landon!
You are growing too fast and getting sweeter and sweeter!
We love you so much!!

The last Christmas Program at CKS. Tear...
They all wore their pjs. So cute! Rue did a great job singing and with her speaking part!
We are so thankful for Ms. Nelli!
Dinner at Five Guys, YUM!
On the way home, we stopped and looked at Christmas lights. There is a house near us that does a great job and the kids love it.
When we got home, Allie Ruth wanted to play "program". She pretended she was the lady that gave the intro prayer and led the songs. She also kept telling me that she wanted to keep the microphone from the church, lol.
It was a fun Christmas night!

November really snuck up on us! We have been so busy that the time is really moving fast! Too fast...
Landon and I have had a few bumps in the road with our new schools, but for the most part things are going well!
Landon even made the "fence of fame" at school for the month of October.
We took a fun trip to East Tennessee for fall break. We spent some time at the cabin, then spent one night in Knoxville, and then to Pigeon Forge. We had fun seeing the mountains, shopping and all the other tourist stuff!
Halloween was fun, but Rue had a stomach bug. It was pitiful!
Landon changed his mind on his costume but finally decided on the same goblin he was last year. Allie Ruth was a butterfly! Even though she was sick, she was still so cute!
Allie Ruth is still loving school and getting smarter everyday. She is a pro at writing her name. Her personality is so funny, yet a little dramatic!
We are loving the fall weather and excited about Thanksgiving! We are looking forward to the holidays and all ready have a tree up!

Its back to school time! We always hate to see the summer end, but the school year has started off great.
Not much has changed for Allie Ruth. Same school, same friends! She does have a new teacher, but its the same one Landon had at her age and we love her! This is Rue's last year before Kindergarten!
Lots of changes for Landon this year! He started 2nd grade at a new school and is riding the bus!
Change is not always easy, but things are going smoothly!

This is where it gets really tourist-y!
We visited Ruby Falls, Rock City and rode the incline train.
Ruby Falls was fun and the kids enjoyed walking through the cave to see the water fall. They liked all the shapes in the rocks that were labeled throughout the cave..
The water fall was really pouring because there had been a lot of rain recently. The story of how the cave and water fall were discovered was interesting.
After that we went mining for rocks and minerals.
Time for Rocky City!
Allie Ruth and I were not fans of the swinging bridge. She is clinging to my leg!
Riding the incline train was a nice break from walking!
We wrapped up the day and the vacation with swimming and pizza! The favorites of the hotel were spinning in the chair, jumping on the bed, playing with the phone, and the cucumber water!
And that concludes The
Grizwold's Joneses go on vacation!
