Whats been going on...

Kelly and the kids have got a great garden going!

We are getting more and more eggs everyday!
We love having the chickens. This one is special, she is not like the others. I wonder if she is the one that consistently lays the double yolks. I do know that she is the one that got out and Landon and I had to chase her back in the coop!

The kids are also loving Meme's cats living at our house! We are having a hard time spotting both of them together. I hope the other one is still around but hiding.

Landon finally got a hair cut! All ready for warm weather!

I can hardly get a picture of him these days. But Rue is a willing model, most of the time!

We have been spending most of free time outside riding bikes, scooters or playing in the yard!

Always working on photography skills...

Loving life and counting our blessings!

And that's whats been going on!

Easter at Meme's

We celebrated Easter in Meme's backyard. Even though she was not there with us, we know she was there in spirt! We talked about how she would be having such a fun time with the kids. We were worried about the weather, but it cleared up just in time for lunch outside and the annual egg hunt!

and they're off!

We really miss Meme, but were thankful to create some more memories in her back yard. It was a great day with the family!

Some bunny was here!

This year the Easter bunny came to visit us at the cabin. Good thing we brought our baskets!
He left a scavenger hunt for us to find our treats!

Landon loved reading us the clues!

Allie Ruth listened and then would run behind Landon to the next clue.

We found the baskets!

Egg dyin' Fun!

Allie Ruth and I started the long Easter weekend off with an (indoor) egg hunt that was fun and then met some friends for lunch. Then we shopped on our way to the cabin to meet the boys. They had gone up earlier to fish. It was a great Friday off from school, even if the weather was not perfect.

On Saturday morning the rain held off long enough for us to set up our eggs to dye on the front deck, just like last year. Rue could not understand that when we dye eggs, it means to change the color, not die. Ha!

Yes, the kids are still in their pjs and you can forget about brushing hair!

The sweet, little boy across the street was up visiting his grandparents. The kids played with him when he was up over the summer so they were very excited that he was in town. He came over and joined the fun.

The kids did a great job and had a lot of fun!
After we finished and cleaned up the mess, in came the rain. Again!
