Fair Day 2011!

Last year we took the kids to the fair and they loved it, well mostly Landon. So this year, Landon was extra excited to go. We went on a Wednesday night, just like last year, but told the kids that we were going furniture shopping. When we pulled up to the agricenter and Landon saw the ferris wheel, he was so excited! At first I couldn't even get the kids to look at the camera because they were too busy looking at all the excitement around them. 

Landon was my riding partner while Dad and Allie Ruth watched. Landon has gotten so much braver compared to last year! He was eager to try lots of rides without being scared!

Dad wanted to watch a lion and tiger show that the kids could not take their eyes off of!

Allie Ruth enjoyed some rides that were more her speed!

Landon loved jumping and even did a double back flip! Go Landon!

Both kids played games and won prizes!

We enjoyed walking around and eating dinner!

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend was also Kelly's birthday! We had fun celebrating all weekend, but the weather was terrible. We were all ready to enjoy some fun in the sun and get one last sun tan, but the sun did not cooperate! That was perfect for Kelly because he loves lazy days in the cabin. We got a lot done around the cabin and were so glad Mimmie was there to help decorate! We ate lots of yummy food, compliments of Gammie. We watched some football and took the perfect naps with the rain hitting the roof. The rain did not stop us from hanging out with friends and having fun!

Perfect Peach Pickin'...

For a little lesson in agriculture and an unplanned road trip, My wonderful friend and I took the kids to pick peaches at Jones Orchid. It took a little longer than expected to get there, but we made it!

Jones Orchid also has a great place to grab a bite to eat and shop for other produce!

Allie Ruth practiced her counting!

We can't wait until fall so we can go back to pick apples!!

Workin' for the weekend!

It's still summer on the weekends! The weather and the river have been awesome, especially for the month of August. Its great to take a break from everything that has to been done during the week and just have fun!

We are so glad summer can linger a little longer!

School Days!

Well, we have started back to school with a smooth start! We have all adjusted surprisingly well! It must be because everything is so new and exciting. Allie Ruth graduated from Ms. Rains' house and now goes to Children's Knowledge Station. She is loving her teacher and all her new friends. I know she is learning a lot. She is singing her ABCs and using new words everyday! She is even using the potty!! I can tell she has my love of clothes, shoes and accessories! School is a fashion show, right?!

Landon started KINDERGARTEN! I really can't believe it! He comes to school with me at Tara Oaks. None of the other teachers can believe its time for him to be here either. I have had mixed emotions about this change. Luckily my sunglasses hide the tears and no one can tell that I feel like I am going to throw up!

Its hard to be too sad because Landon is loving it. I asked him if he thought school was ok, good, or great and he said "super great!"

You even lost another tooth!

I am so proud of both of you! You make me a very happy mama!

We will miss you!!
